We at devspiration are seeking a Lead General QA Engineer to join our team. This role provides an opportunity to drive QA excellence on a large-scale modular & microservices ecosystem for an enterprise-level client- one of the "Big Four" professional financial services firms. 

The position is focused primarily on automation testing (approximately 80%), with around 20% dedicated to manual testing activities. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Act as a key point of contact for all QA-related activities, including test planning, execution, reporting and automating
  • Design and implement automated tests (UI, API, database) using Playwright, Selenium, and modern tooling. 
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure stability across multiple environments. 
  • Perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot automation failures, and support developers in defect resolution. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, processes, and automation efficiency. 
  • Plan and prioritize testing activities, aligning with project goals and timelines 
  • Report problems in a bug tracking system and follow-up towards resolution 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and test managers, to ensure seamless integration of QA activities 

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a General QA Engineer with strong focus on test automation, including at least 1 year in a lead role
  • Strong C# programming skills are essential. 
  • Strong hands-on experience with automation tools: PlaywrightSelenium. 
  • Strong understanding of UI, API, and database testing, including SQL proficiency. 
  • Experience with AI/LLM-assisted automation — optional but beneficial. 
  • Proven track record of leading QA teams and driving quality improvement initiatives 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively 
  • English: Upper-Intermediate or higher
